Every space in our new home has been thoughtfully conceived. Together, they will allow for all of PAWS' programs to be fully realized, maximize the number of animals we can rescue, and create a healing environment where pets and people will thrive. Here is a look at just some of the features that will benefit all who will serve and be served there.

More than double our current capacity to save and care for dogs — including those with medical needs
Combination of spacious kennels (2 large rooms) and multiple individual dog suites, to meet the socialization and isolation needs of all the dogs we serve
Ample space for animal enrichment activities with staff and volunteers and “meet & greets” with adopters and fosters
Multiple outdoor play yards, for individuals and groups to enjoy time exercising, learning, and decompressing
Dedicated exam room with grooming area for incoming dogs
Sound absorption to provide and encourage calmness

Expanded capacity for all services we provide to pet owners, rescue partners, and community cat caregivers
Multiple exam rooms for clinic appointments to treat illnesses/injuries, provide preventive care, end of life care, vaccines
Dedicated dental suite
Two expanded surgery suites for spay/neuter and other procedures
Separate reception areas and surgical holding areas for dogs and cats
Exam room with private entrance/exit, for reactive dogs, and pet owners who need privacy
Dedicated x-ray room, lab, pharmacy, and charting areas

20% more capacity for cats
Cats housed on second floor, for a quieter, less stressful experience
Rooms that can flex as needs change throughout the year
Spacious kennels offering vertical space to climb, ample space for active cats, pairs and trios — and human visitors!
Appropriate space for shy cats to decompress and feel safe
Dedicated spaces for medical isolation, nursery, and ringworm treatment
Dedicated exam space for incoming cats
Work space for staff in each room
Dedicated space for small animal rescue and adoption

For the first time, dedicated space for all of PAWS' Safety Net programs and resource navigation services
Full pet pantry area, with separate entrance, for food and supply storage and pick-ups
Collaborative space for our multi-disciplinary team — including a veterinary social worker, certified dog trainer, and others — to ensure pet owners receive the support they need
Ample space for private conversations and counseling, to be respectful of peoples’ needs, especially during difficult or sensitive situations
Large multipurpose room, offering space for one-on-one and group training, as well as community gatherings and resource fairs

Spacious, light-filled rooms and offices, with options to work independently or collaboratively as needed
Comfortable break room with adjacent outdoor (dog-friendly) space to work, rest, and gather
Wellness room for nursing, quiet time, or processing emotional situations
A multipurpose room for training, meetings, and events
A conference room for formal meetings and strategic planning
Dedicated shower room and lockers, so staff members don't have to bring the messy side of work home with them
A home base for our dedicated volunteers to feel comfortable and build community

Separate entrances for adoption/foster programs, clinic/support services, and pet pantry
Garden area outside the exam room used for owner-requested euthanasia, where loved ones can pause for quiet reflection if they wish
Significant landscaping and greenery throughout, prioritizing hardy, native plants
Covered waiting areas
Ample parking for vehicles and bikes, with entrances on Oregon Avenue and 22nd Street (private entrance on 21st Street for staff and deliveries)
Accessible by public transit and convenient to I-95 and I-76
Privacy for neighbors whose homes border ours

Space naming opportunities allow donors to leave a legacy, with options ranging from $25,000 to over $500,000 based on the space's prominence. By investing in a naming opportunity, you will support PAWS’ lifesaving mission while making a meaningful tribute to honor a loved one, pet, or family name.
